I use to e-deposit my checks to a debit card but some shady company called "Certegy" has apparently flagged me for some unknown reason and they are rejecting my deposits. Walmart also uses Certegy so can't cash them there either. I have NEVER bounced a check.
I no longer have a bank account thanks to the crooks at Bank of America. They closed my checking account because I was overdrawn by just a couple of bucks. It went over only due to their monthly fees. I had opened this account because of their "NO FEES for LIFE" promise. But then they just decided it wasn't a good deal for them and started charging a fee (don't even know if this is legal)! Now they have closed my account and probably reported me to Chexsystems which means I can't open any other bank accounts for 5 years.
So are there any other places I can cash them at... maybe at a casino in Vegas or something?
Bofa's no fees were probably dependent on you meeting specific criteria explicitly disclosed to you ie direct deposit, min monthly balance etc. You could always take your check to a check cashing place and probably pay 2-3%
Clearly you haven't tried to open another bank account because you assume you can't, so why not try?
Bofa are crooks, another shady company flagged you, eh it might be you that's creating the problem
What bank are your paychecks drawn on? You should be able to pay a few dollar fee to cash the checks there, assuming it is a bank with a local branch.
And the only reason I can think of that you could have had your account closed and been reported would be if you didn't make up the deficit with the bank. If your account goes negative, that is basically a loan from the bank, which you have to pay back. If you don't, they are right to report you.
And I agree with Lowexpectations. Usually those "no fee" accounts have criteria. If you fail to meet the criteria at any time, they have the legal right to add fees.
So sign up with an internet bank. I use Ally Bank. Endorse the check, scan both sides, submit it for deposit. You can access $200 at an ATM the next day and the remainder the following day. You'll likely encounter longer delays for the first month after the account is opened. Internet banks usually limit the number of transactions per month with no fee.
There are still plenty of credit unions that don't rape their small customers with fees.

Check cashing storefronts are a huge ripoff.
Banks should be able to charge for their service, especially for unprofitable relationships
What banks and credit unions don't use Chexsystems? None that I know of.
Bank of America account was "FREE FOR LIFE" with no conditions of any kind (no DD, no min balance, etc.) which is the only reason I signed up in the first place. They did honor it in the beginning but BOOM they changed the terms and started charging a fee. To close my account over couple of bucks overdrawn only because of their unauthorized fee is criminal. They didn't even warn me or anything.
BofA has done this to other people they have promised "free lifetime" accounts to:

Every bank has a minimum balance your bank account must have in it to remain open. Bank of America's is $5.00.
Go pay off what you owe them, then they will pull your bad record off Certegy.
I don't understand why you wouldn't clear this up.

I would start there and then work with each institution to clear up your record. This doesn't get any better if you don't accept responsibility.
