I can't remember having it refused at any retail store, gas station or ATM.

I only use a credit card at gas stations and restaurants because of the high likelihood of credit card fraud at these locations. None of my credit cards have fees.

If people don't mind sharing what their credit score is too, what is your credit score with the number of credit cards you have?

Last I checked mine it was around 760, this was just prior to me buying a house, which I've owned for 7 months now. I also have 7 credit cards, 6 at the time of the credit check.

You pay no fees, but you have to pay a monthly rate of $6.95?

Also, please explain what a CIBC debit card is.

Why do you need the information you are asking for? What someone else has or uses does not impact your life. Honestly I think your questions are unnecessary and invasive in an area of one's life that should be left personal and private.

No one is pressuring you to answer, if you don't feel comfortable disclosing that information it is your prerogative. However 2 dozen other people are okay with disclosing it anonymously.

This article may help you if you're trying to raise your credit score..

7 Fast Ways to Raise Your Credit Score | Money Talks News

Knowing what our credit scores are and how many cards we have isn't going to help you in any way. It doesn't matter how many cards a person has IF they don't pay them on time. Someone could have 30 cards with a total limit of $10, 000... or one card with the same limit. There is so much more that goes into determining credit score than amount of cards.

No offense but all month now I've been dealing with unauthorized charges on my CC's that thankfully the CC companies have picked up on and not approved so I'm not giving out any info. Every time that happens they change my card number and it's a pain in the butt for me because I've some CC's linked to revolving charges like Netflix etc. so I have to contact them and give them the new number.

Somewhere in the teens. Mainly got them for bonus signup points. I actively use five. My available credit is well over $100,000. My credit score is 820+ FICO. The card I use depends on what I'm buying and what will maximize the benefits/points earned.

4:

1 is business. Doesn't count as I don't pay the bill and used only for business travel.
1 is legacy and my oldest account. Not used.
1 is my primary with rewards. Balance is paid in full each month. I try to use the card instead of debit as it offers more protection in case of fraud.
1 is a card I used for a 0% offer in the past. I still get 0% offers on it all the time, so I keep it just in case I want to use it for that reason. Mostly I have not, so I debate cancelling it.

Usually...I pay cash for most purchases.

I put every possible expense on my Cap One card. It pays points, plus at the end of the year we have a complete record of expenses that are automatically categorized. That helps review expenses and prepare income taxes.

I have a second card which is American Express and used solely at Costco.

My third card is a backup. I needed that this past Fall when I was traveling. Cap One replaced my card with a chip card but would not mail it to general delivery at a post office. Cards expire and strips no longer will read. I have had both of those happen while traveling.

My wife got a Hawaiian airlines card. By signing up for the card and using it for $1000 in the first three months she got a huge discount on tickets to and from Hawaii. If we visit again and the offer is still valid, I will get a card in my name next year.

Just 2, discover it and a visa. We only ever use discover and only had Visa card as a backup to use if someone didn't accept discover. I think we could probably close Visa card.. I don't remember last time used.

I love discover, will never switch. Put everything we buy on it and get great cash back rewards! Pay it in full every month.
