My credit card companies have been flooding me with reminders this month! More than a dozen reminders in the past week. Never missed a payment and have bank draft setup for payment to each, which is currently & correctly in their records -I feel compelled to check with each notice.

I would think they would want us to be late on these payments, so they could access fees. I guess they too have bills to pay.

They are doing this due to the demographics. They take an area and survey it, chances are many people within a specific radius of you may have become late on their payments and since you live within that specific area, they are sending these reminders. Thay are probably taking the unemplyment rates in your area as well as an indicator that people may fall behind on their bills, if you ask me they are simply wasting more money with these reminders. Does anything credit card companies do ever make sense?

Well the credirt game has changed with new rules. Your interest rate on present debt remains the same. Of course they are wanting to get their debt paid. ZLook for higher rates in future on new debt and limited credit in response to new rules, The risk factor has changed by those rules.

Those rules are not in effect yet, all these rate changes that they have pushed down do effect current balances unless you choose to opt out which results in automatic cancellation of the account once it is paid in full.

I pay as soon as I get the statement. That's probably why they have always treated me with decency.

I think on April 1st (April fools day) All of America should call one of their cc companies and cancel a credit card.... That would keep the 1-800's busy all day long....LOL
