Our Mexican Red Legs tarantula seems to be very restless. We recently moved her to a bigger terrarium with a larger gravel substrate. Since then, she seems to be constantly on the move, trying to climb the sides of the terrarium and seldom sitting quietly. Is this normal? She seemed to be more comfortable in her old cage. Should I try switching back to the smaller size gravel?
im not an expert here and never owned a tarantula before perosnlaly but have a frined who has a "collection" and he always told me (because id point out their tanks were so small) that tarantulas prefer the security of being in a smaller space, so mabe shes just warey of her new home?
Does she have any places to hide or cover herself? Ours always wanted the security of a tunnel or rock hideout.
