There is a abandon property that i wanted to inquire about. I did find the owner and he said that he sold the property, but that was a month ago and the property is still vacant. With the snow and rain that we have been having i think that if he sold it someone would at least put windows in to peserve the interior. How do I find out if he really sold the property?

You'll have to inquire at the appropriate office at City Hall. I really don't know the process, but I'm sure somebody else here will chime in on that.

However, in my experience, just because a vacant property was sold doesn't mean anything is going to happen to it. Sometimes speculators will just sit on land for years hoping to turn it over again for a hefty profit.

You can search here but it takes a little while for the city to update the property records.
