If I were to buy a home, can $300,000-350,000 get me something nice in the city?

How much space and does it include indoor parking.

absolutely. You can buy for 1/2 that if you want. Define "nice"

How much space (i.e. bedrooms and bathrooms) would you prefer?

Garage parking is relatively rare in the city. You'll have to head up to the far Northeast, maybe Chestnut Hill in the Northwest and (I'm guessing?) the Girard Estates in far South Philly for the most consistent off-street parking.

Ideally, a 3 bedroom.

1 bedroom for me
1 bedroom for a home office
1 bedroom for a library/den/AV room.

Can I buy a row house?

most row homes are 3 bedroom and 1 bath. So yes that will work

"Relatively rare?" Really? There are alleys and garages all over the city. I never thought they were "rare."

Yes. You can get a place in the Northeast with indoor parking for under your budget.

You have a point. Perhaps I should rephrase my original answer: there are certainly alleys/off-street parking in many parts of the city but not so much fully enclosed garage parking.

This, is my ideal space needs. Although I would like a parking space, doesn't need to be indoor. I just want to know that I have a spot.

Yes. You'll be able to find something pretty nice in sections such as Northern Liberties, Queen Village, and University City.
