The worst stations in these deals are sports, because they know you can't live stream them. With FIOS, you can't get The Comcast Network (which carries a lot of Phillies games) in HD. With Comcast, despite being in a Big Ten state, you don't get the Big Ten Network unless you get a premium package. You can't even get it as part of a sports package add-on.

The only reason I hang onto Comcast is to watch Flyers games. If I could get a sports-only cable package, and forget the rest of it, I'd be a happy camper.

I don't like how they are slowly removing channels from the basic cable package. You should now have to pay extra to see the channels below

TV Land
TBS

The word bear has been part of the English language for over a 1000 years and means "bring; bring forth, produce; to endure, sustain; to wear" . Like many old words it's use has expanded. Women "bear" children who are "born". Ball bearings "bear" the friction. For 500 years the phrase "to bear (something) in mind" has been with us. Also the phrase "bear with me". The homophone "bare" means something different.

Ideally, there should be some transparency. Cable companies should have a monthly charge for the "pipe", just like the electric bill. Then the user should have some say about what comes through the pipe.

The word Auto-correct, is a feature in many applications, including word processing programs, spreadsheets and search engines that will automatically detect and correct typos, misspelled words, and incorrect capitalization.

Sometimes, it makes mistakes, often with hilarious results (see Damn You Auto Correct! » Funny iPhone Fails and Autocorrect Horror Stories) other times it just changes words after you've completed them and moved on. What's funny is that you knew exactly what I meant, yet still felt the need to correct.

I've given up cable. I have a Roku box and use Netflix, Hulu, and Amazon Prime. They have enough shows to watch and on Amazon you can rent and buy new movies and shows. Rather do that than shell out over $100 a month for stuff I don't watch.

Perhaps people who don't feel compelled to keep current on most TV programs within the same week. For those who do, cable or satellite service are your best options, as cumbersome as the packages may be. And in the Philadelphia area, Comcast service is practically...universal.
