And don't forget Baltimore and Detroit. Just like Philadelphia, they're also New York's peer (but sadly not recognized by the public and the media).

Center City and the Overall Region compare more favorably in poverty/college education..

Its the city as awhole and small satellite cities (Camden,Wilmington,Chester,Trenton)which causes the higher percentage of poverty.

Philly and Chicago are pretty similar statistically. Both have Deep pockets of poverty with no Manhattan to skew the statistics.

SF,Bos are much smaller coastal cities they shouldnt be compared to Philadelphia for a variety of reasons.

Ny has Manhattan which skews everything. DC has billion dollar government contracts out the wahzoo.

Along with massive income disparity, Manhattan actually has a 20% poverty rate, which is higher than the state average.

I believe that the NYC borough with the highest median household income is actually Staten Island.

What are you talking about? Rittenhouse, while lively, isn't even the most lively nighttime neighborhood in Center City. That marker would go to the Gayborhood easily. Seriously, have you ever stepped foot in Center City past 6pm? Obviously you haven't because if you have you wouldn't be making such ridiculous claims.

Some people are jealous that Philly is more vibrant than 99% of American and one street of Philly is more interesting than their entire states probably. Anyone who thinks Philly is sleepy at night needs to have their brains checked. Center City can get busier than Manhattan on Friday and Saturday nights after 12:00 am.

Lol, that last sentence is about the most ludicrous bit of rubbish that you've said so far.

I still rather be in downtown Chicago which is bigger and similar to Manhattan.

You don't seem to take advantage of the choices in the city/area you currently live in. Would you in a city that's larger overall?
