Who cares about your experience? I have, from plenty of people who should really, really know better. And plenty of people talk about "Ridley" but don't know if you ask them what they're really talking about. Folsom Holmes Woodlyn or whatever.

I was talking about RIDLEY CREEK STATE PARK not Ridley Township.

Unless he's in the process of misleading prospective movers or visitors, I would save my breath.

I went to the site at the link after seeing it in a magazine, thinking it would have a profile of EVERY Philly suburb (in PA, not necessarily NJ or DE) but nope... rather, it paints a very narrow picture of Philly and its surroundings. Travelers very well might be fooled by its narrow-minded, dismissive assessment of the Delaware Valley.
It's largely due to Philly's insular media culture.

Another question I have though is... why are so many young people in Philadelphia County (who moved there from far away in the USA) oblivious to the whole world of suburbs surrounding their beloved city? I once met a young woman from Virginia in University City who knew about Chester, and confused West Chester with it...()

And a young man in University City told me he didn't care about "the whole suburban mess" surrounding his own city. Why not, I wonder?
Hey, I grew up in Philly, and largely knew diddly-squat about the burbs growing up! ..And that was pretty common.
