I am hoping there is a mechanic out there that can evaluate price and value. I went to Pep Boys Brookhaven PA. I set up an appointment on line for 9:35 PM. At 4 :57 PM I called and vehicle didnt make lift for inspection. At 5:58 PM they called and indicated 3 tires are bad and brakes and rotors should be done asap but will pass. They have a 4 for 3 deal at a cost of about $84 per tire after disposal setting sensors the out the door price is $500. and "THEY THINK" It will be ready by 3 PM tomorrow. I just sense that the free installation had been absorbed by padded billing. What is the thought of other who may have bought tires recently. The brand is Cooper.
I know there are different types of cooper this is 75K miles. The whole scenario stinks but before complaining how bad am I doing at 4 tires installed for $500.

500 bucks for 4 tires mounted and balanced is not bad. In the past I have done business with Pep Boys but I find best deal for tires is Sams Club. Of course Sams only offers 1 or 2 brands per size.
The one catch I found at Pep Boys in their "buy 3 get 1 free" was the purchase of road hazard insurance was required, which I think is a waist.
