I searched for 2e and twice exceptional in the Philly area forum here but found NADA. Any parents of 2e kids out there that have found an excellent public school district (or private, but would prefer public)? My son is in 1st grade, identified as highly gifted and also has ADHD. He is in private school now but they are very linear and rigid and not really interested in the needs of a gifted kid. Very telling to me to learn they are more interested in shutting down the ADHD behavioral stuff than in engaging my kid in learning at his level. This is a complicated issue...I get treated like I am bragging or something and diminishing the ADHD. NOT THE CASE! BOTH have to be tended! Anyway, we have to move anyway, so I'm wondering what public schools (or private schools) are in areas I should target for looking for our new home? Currently in Wissahickon/MontCo. Thank you!

I would definitely consider Tredyffrin and Radnor SD! They aren't too far from where you are now. Not only are they some of the best public school in the state, they have specific gifted programs that may help you and your child. I went through Radnor as a gifted kid.

And if you're looking for a new home or want to know about those areas for homes and prices, feel free to DM and let me know, I'd be happy to help.
