Can you take a cab from citizens park to atlantic city NJ (city hall)

You could... but it would be a long, expensive trip: two hours and maybe upwards of $200?

From the stadium, you could take the Broad Street Subway (if you're leaving with a game/concert crowd, no worries about potential issues) up to City Hall and transfer to the westbound Market-Frankford Blue Line. Get off at the next stop (30th Street) and walk across to 30th Street Station. Look for the Amtrak billboard to find out when the next NJ Transit train leaves for Atlantic City. Download a schedule from njtransit.com as the AC train leaves once every 70 minutes or so.

Alternately, you could hail a cab at Citizens Park to take you to 30th Street Station. That would save you time and allow you some of the investment you planned to make anyway.

I did that once.. It was very expensive. Not worth it. Around $150.

If you're leaving the game when everyone else is I would take the subway up to Walnut-Locust because if you get in a cab you're just going to sit in traffic with everyone else.
When you get to Walnut-Locust transfer to the red line (PATCO) and take that out to Lindenwold which is the last stop. It will cost you $1.45 for the subway (10 minutes) and $2.45 for PATCO (25 minutes) and when you get to Lindenwold you transfer to the Atlantic City line which is $4 and 50 minutes.

download the train schedule and give yourself about an hour to get from the stadiums to Lindenwold.

that's a steal! it costs $50 to take a cab from Fort Lee, NJ to midtown Manhattan and that's 7 miles
