My job is relocating me to the Phila area in 2010. I need to know which places might be fun to look for an apt./condo/house. I'm 27, unmarried and would like to stay in an area where there are other people like myself. Does anyone know of any neighborhoods they would recommend?

Where in the Philadelphia area will you be working? That could be a major factor as outside of the neighborhoods of Center City (aka downtown) many job centers are far away from where 20somethings here often choose to live. What is your preferred rental/purchase range?

You also didn't say if you want a "downtown" urban experiance, a suburban lifestyle or somthing in between, and of course what you can afford to spend. Where are you coming from and is there a section of that city you really like (for comparison)?

Center City would probably be your best bet or Northern Liberties, more specifically The Piazza if you can get an apartment there. It's expensive by my standards(approx $1200/month for a 1 bed) but there's a lot of young professionals living there and the actual set up of the complex is pretty awesome.
