I'm thinking of going to Tempe Town Lake. Is the light rail a good way to get there? Is there a best spot to watch them from at the lake?

I was about to start a new thread on this, but my question was about Chandler area fireworks i.e. Tumbleweed Park

Yeah, take it to Mill and walk up the street.

How's the event at Steele Indian School Park? I'm trying to make some plans for myself and the old man in town visiting. It was recommended to me. Curious how long to hang around. Opens at 2 but the fireworks aren't until 9:30.

As a kid, I remember Tempe Town Lake having the best. I haven't seen many shows since I've moved back out here 3 years ago; though tonight we're going to the Surprise baseball game/fireworks show cause it's local and more suitable for adults with no kids than many other shows in the valley.

Tempe's display is good, but it gets really crowded....same with Chandler. We went to Tumbleweed park last year and the traffic was insane getting in and out.

TTL will be the biggest followed by the one at Indian Steele park. I like the Tempe one because its a site to see especially with the fireworks going off over the lake, and Papago in the background.

I think Tempe Town Lake wins because the light rail makes it so much easier to get in and out of. With so many communities curbing fireworks and not able to go to the mountains this season, I bet it'll be busy this year.
