I dont live there, but considered it for a short while.I cant just pick one, because several are all equally bad IMO. Id have to say #s 2, 3, & 4 were the biggest reasons I didnt move there. #1 doesnt bother me, Ive lived in Chicagoland most of my life, the traffic down there is a breeze.

Gotta pick one only no multiples choices (had to make it annoying somehow!) lol

Dang, I didnt see the poll. LOL Id have to pick weather, Im more of a winter guy. But then schools are very important as I have a 5 year old who I have to consider. Then the culture thing... arrghhh! Dang, this poll is tough!

Overall I went with weather. Too much of one thing is annoying, especially when it leans towards the too much heat.

Traffic here really isn't that bad compared to other sunbelt cities like Dallas, Houston, Los Angeles, or Atlanta. If you know some of the arterial roads, driving in Phoenix is a breeze. And even the freeway congestion is only during rush hour otherwise it's smooth sailing.

Weather is a personal preference. I NEED sunny and warm weather, I just cannot function outside when it's freezing. Obviously if you want 4 seasons than Phoenix isn't for you...

I voted school system. Overall the entire AZ public school system needs repair and fast. Many public schools here are underfunded and filled with low-income families. But we also have quite a few very highly rated public and private schools with most being located in Scottsdale and Paradise Valley.

I really don't understand why people complain about the cultural and entertainment aspects of Phoenix so much. What exactly are you looking for? We have a symphony, tons of art galleries/museums, history museums, a zoo, great concert venues, nightlife (Tempe and Scottsdale mainly), theatre, Fashion Square, sports teams (are the Cardinals still in the NFL), etc etc etc. I mean this isn't NYC but Phoenix still has its' share of cultural and entertainment venues.

Id have to pick 1,2,and 4 the traffic and driving has gotten really bad but thank god I dont have to deal with it on a regular basis. The Weather sucks it never changes you know its always gonna be warm and sunny. And there is no culture, AZ is such a big state usually things to get to are to far or cost to much money. Yes Tempe and Scottsdale are great but usually geared towards single people.

Can we say 'all of the above' if we have either experienced or seen it?

I have to go with 3. It is the biggest issue for my wife and I to overcome when it comes to relocating (public schools). I lived there for a couple of years in the early eighties and was back for a visit last Dec. Loved all the new highways. I was expecting gridlock and was surprised at how easily we got around - even during rush hours. 1, 2 and 4 doesn't bother us. Hey! It's a big city in the desert! We may wait until the last one is out of high school or maybe not? I'm in construction - that's another issue for another time !
