Noise polution is one of the hardest to abate.

This is one of those things similiar to motorcycles with loud exhaust.

The authorities do not have the correct equipment and even if they did they usually don't want to get involved in such.

I bet that's about impossible to enforce even if there were daytime noise ordinances, and I think there aren't. Too bad. I don't even like hearing others' music when stopped at a light. I can't imagine hearing it in my home.

Phoenix noise ordinances are 24 hours a day. There isn't a 'quiet' time period. But with a moving vehicle it has to be the perfect circumstance for them to enforce it...such as a cop pulling up along side of them or such. I don't think they'll respond to calls about a car that drove by that was loud. If it's one that is sitting in the neighborhood for a long period of time then I think they could do something about it.

The only time this really bothers me is if I see a child in the car. I've seen toddlers in the back seat holding their hands to their ears because it's so loud.
