I folks I live in Surprise and since Verizon isnt getting their version of the Samsung Note Im thinking about switching to AT&T Everything is leading me to make the switch, except he age old question of coverage- Id like to hear feedback from people who have used both providers regarding coverage and service from both carriers.

There have been some other discussions on this recently. In my experience and that of those I know, and I think for the majority we''ve heard from here, Verizon has better coverage, fewer dropped calls, etc.

I hear ya. I wanted the One/X and they are only offering a POS Incredible. I settled for a GS3 because everyone I know who has ATT thinks Verizon is better (except for the poorer phone choices, I guess). I think it would be OK in town, but outside the city and off the freeways, VZ rules in the west.

I switched from ATT to Verizon because of the poor coverage.

I appreciate the input..AT&T is boasting this LTE 4g thing and was wondering if that improves coverage

Chandler Ocotillo area, AT&T is bad. Havn't tried Verizon, but T-Mobile is definitely better in this area.

I have had AT&T since 2003 and rarely have any drop outs. I do have problems west of Flagstaff in the more remote regions as well as the Grand Canyon. Inside Phoenix specifically I have great coverage (HSPDA+).

If it hasn't been mentioned previously, reception isn't always the cause of the provider. The phone's antenna has quite a lot to do with that as well. I've had several phones with the same provider and most of the produce different levels of coverage in the same places.

Verizon! I had ATT and had horrible service and switched to Verizon. Out of all the carriers, Verizon has the best coverage in my opinion. In the various hospitals I work in, I can be in the basement and different parts of the hospital and I'll get service but my colleagues with ATT, Sprint and T-Mobile phones won't despite having the exact same phone model.

I use AT&T and I have no issues with coverage. I have heard that Sprint tends to have coverage issues in southeastern Gilbert.
