First time pool owner, so could use a little advice.

I'm looking into remodeling our in-ground pool, one of the first things i want to do is replace the existing pool deck.

I looked at travertine pavers, but they are ~$10/SF installed, and i understand they can get hot. Other option is concrete - i see many stamped concrete designs online. I haven't looked into it, but from what I understand, those are $10-$15 / SF, depending on design/colors, and can be cooler to the touch.

Am I correct on the prices? What do other folks use? I'm looking at about 1K SF of deck.

Ours is standard cool decking that was installed when we built the pool. Just concrete decking with a coating of some type that is supposed to allow you to walk on it in the heat. It still gets too hot to walk on though in the mid-day sun.
