We were told the $.99 store had $.99 cent pomegranates so we went in to check it out. First time I've been in a dollar store and I could not believe all the people in there. Packed with people and they only had one checkout line and the line was a mile long. Took almost 20 minutes to get to the front of the line, all for 6 pomegranates. It looked pretty popular to me and was a good lesson to not go back myself.

I would second this. From what I've seen, they have the best stock.

I love Dollar Tree, but I've never been to the 99 cents only store. Dollar Tree has the best prices on party supplies and mylar balloons.

Dollar Trees are more conveniently located to me, I shop at 2 or 3 different ones depending on which direction I'm headed or coming from. Second the comments about party supplies, also good for household stuff and some food items... and the dogs love the boxed dog biscuits.
