It's that time of year again!!! Ren faire time I discovered the AZ Ren Faire while I was in college in Phx. I've tried others, but always return to AZ for this event. The others just didn't compare.

Arizona Renaissance Festival

My must see acts:
Ded Bob
Tortuga Twins

And ooooo, the shopping! If you've never experienced a ren faire, THIS is the one to attend!!! Buy your tickets online $21 for adults, $11 for kids. Or buy them at the gate for $1 extra.

A traffic nightmare! Once is enough. Never again.

Traffic has gotten WAY better over the years. I don't know the last time you tried it, but trust me it's WAAAAAY better

Went on opening day, Saturday

A little chilly but still was a great time. I go every year at least once. The Southern California faire is another good one, usually drive over for that one too

I mis-read your title line as "Rien Faire," which sounded apt.

IMO way overpriced. High fee just to get in. Once inside food & drinks were too steep for me. Some of the events were as well. Watched a few free exhibits including a guy with a falcon that wouldn't obey him. Then the traffic was a zoo coming and going. Only went once about 15 years ago.

Are you talking about the Renaissance Faire?

I thought this was about Wrens.

The traffic is not an issue unless you are one of those people who just can't share with others.

You have obviously never been to the event. Traffic backs up for miles and miles from the site all the way to Apache Junction and creeps along at 5 mph. I feel sorry for anyone who lives in Gold Canyon during the Faire. It must be a nightmare to get around. I've only been on weekends so maybe weekdays are easier.

They are only open on weekends, except President's Day
