Due to circumstances, I probably won't be able to move the Phoenix area until June. I would have preferred April or May so I have enough to find an apartment before the real heat lands but that looks to be out. I wanted to experience the summer heat sooner rather later so I really don't want to move in the fall. Is moving in June going to be a bit rough, maybe too rough heat wise (I'm moving from Ontario)?

You'll be sweating, June is typically the warmest month of the year around here.

People move here in June all the time. Yes, it's hot, but you will likely survive it. Drink water regularly, use sunscreen liberally, and you will be fine.

It's better than August. Mornings, at least, will be halfway decent. And the humidity will be very low.

In August, we moved our college daughter to her apartment. We had no option. It was incredibly hot but we survived. You will too.

I moved here in mid June of last year. I found it very bearable, of course I came from Florida so I was used to horrible heat and humidity. The humidity is so low that as soon as you get in the shade, you're cool! It's wild.

My family and I moved here in June of last year. It couldn't be helped, as that happened to be when our house sold and closed escrow.
It worked out fine, and I am glad we got to experience the worst of it right off the bat, to get the anticipation out of the way, as we would have had if we moved in cool weather...
We had our realtor turn our air conditioning on for us, the day before we got into AZ. (We moved here from CA).
As long as you aren't standing in the sun, you will be fine.
What surprised me was how cold it gets in winter! Listening to people, you would think it is boiling hot year round...NOT the case...I am glad I brought my Ugg boots and heavy jackets!

I moved here in June of 2011. It was 104 the day arrived. The moving van I had did NOT have air conditioning and I was fine. Just a few days after I arrived, we had a few days of almost record heat. 118.
I unloaded the moving truck in the heat. It was 107 the day I moved into my house. No problem at all. Drink lots of cool water, put a wet towel around your neck and you'll be fine. Pretty comfortable actually. The wet towel makes all the difference.

Remember to take something with electrolytes as well. Gatorade has made all the difference for me when moving big boxes of books in August!

We moved here to a rental July 29, 2010 and then moved again when we bought our house in July 2011. Plan on doing as much as you can in the early morning. Lots of water and breaks whenever you feel you need one.
