Thinking of relocating to phoenix from San Diego... What's life like in the summer? Are there sports for kids to do? Are there indoor sports since its so hot? Are kids mostly in year-round type schools so they aren't off during the hot months?

Yes, they still play sports in the evenings in summer- soccer, baseball, etc. Outdoors. I don't know about indoor sports except the ones that are always inside like roller and ice skating.

Actually, most schools are NOT on a year round schedule, thought some districts are. Most schools are out now or will be over the next week or so, and go back in early to mid August.

Not all of us go to crowded San Diego during the summer. Some of us just travel a few hours to the north and spend some time in the forest. That's one of the many reasons I love Arizona.
