For those of you who have built a pool -
1. What pool company did you go with?
2. What was the cost?
3. Were you happy?

We are looking at a 30' x 15' pool in our backyard. Had several companies out already. The lowest quote we have received so far is about $30,000. We are partial to this company because not only are they the least expensive but they are also offering ways for us to save money (removing grass ourselves at $50-100 to rent the machine versus having them do it for $700).
Would love to hear everyones thoughts. Thank you

We went with California pool. It was around $22k-$23k. We've been very happy with them. They have come out to fix a few things since we put it in almost 4 years ago and are always out within 48 hours. Great to work with, very on time, and kept us in the loop of every step of the build process.

The pool question is a variation on the "where to live" - so much depends on size, features, yard access etc. Every company will have successes and failures. We used Presidential and have been happy with our pool, but there were lots of things that we needed to be on top of.

Biggest cost factors: spa or no? heater? Is hardscaping (tile etc) included? Are they doing landscaping and irrigation?

We ultimately used Presidential for everything - we wanted to have one call to make if something wasn't working instead of finger pointing at multiple contractors. All in (pool, spa, heater, tile and landscaping) we were at 43K but we put in a smaller pool than most people here.
