We are looking to move to the Anthem area and I'm wondering where people find rental homes. I've had some luck on Realtor.com but I assume there must be other websites to look on. The ones that are common where I live don't service that area.

Realtor.com, padmapper.com, craigslist and the good old standby - drive thru the neighborhoods. A lot of landlords simply rely on a sign out front.

Call some realtors in Anthem. Some of them also manage rental homes for investors and folks who plan to retire there in the future. There is a realtor located in the Anthem mall (Outlets At Anthem) that may have something available. Also, these realtors/rental managers may be aware of something coming up soon that has not been listed yet.

What square footage and price are you looking for?

I post my vacancies to Zillow only, who then adds it to Trulia and Hotpads, and can usually find a tenant at this time of year in under 2 weeks. You can also look on Redfin and a couple of other places.

If you go the realtor route it is best to only look at their listings as commissions are very low for other listings so it is kind of a waste of their time. Also, don't sign anything but a lease with any realtor.

Thanks for the information! We live in Salt Lake City but need a rental starting August 1st. I'm going to try and make it down there in July so I will drive around the neighborhoods and look. I will also call some realtors and keep looking online.
pgc323- we'd like to get the largest house we can for the least amount lol. Ideally it will have 2500+ sq.ft. and a pool. I'd like to stay as close to $2000 as possible. I did see a possibility for $1700 but it was only 3 bedrooms and I'd love 4.

I don't think you will find anything in your price range with a pool in Anthem. Leases with a private pool are not plentiful now in Anthem. I'm not familiar with other areas. Good luck with your search!
