Moving from NJ. Any recommendation on where to live temporarily on rent in Phoenix or surrounding areas. We need 3 bedroom. In a year or so we would like to move where we can send our kids to Basis Scottsdale primary school or any other charter or public school that gives the best education. How can I increase the chance for enrolling my kids to the best public schools in AZ.

Basis is a lottery so it will be luck of the draw.

Look at the Madison Traditional School...it is in somewhat affordable North Central 85016, with loads of rentals. Alhambra Traditional School is tops, also, but in a undesireable westside location.

Madison Traditional is also not a zoned school so you have to apply. I can't remember if it has a lottery.

And it still has some excellent elementary schools...Madison #1 Middle School is well above average for Phoenix...Madison Park is in the southern part of the district and horrible, though. Been that way for long before they opened the Traditional School.

You have to keep trying every year in BASIS. Once your kid get in, the siblings willbe automatically in as well. I have 3 in there, best decision we ever made for our kids.
