My 400K BTU Heater typically burns 4 therms per hour at about $1.00 per therm. Six hours to bring a 14K gallon pool from 66 up to 88.

We have a heater but I expect it's expensive to use. I can wait.
I was thinking the same thing. My water isn't going to warm up until June at this rate.

My pool is on the north side of my house so it doesn't get as much sun...usually I'm not in it until May and probably out of it by early October. It is kind of a downer how little of the year I can use it. It is unheated and deep.

I need to buy one of those solar heater blankets y'all talk about. Any idea on ballpark cost for a "normal" size pool?
