America's Most Stressful Cities - Forbes.com (http://www.forbes.com/health/2008/09/15/stress-cities-ten-forbeslife-cx_md_0915cities.html - broken link)

tadaaaaaaa drum roll puhleez.....Chitown where you at? and I tend to agree....luckily for you guys, Phoenix is nowhere to be found and i was surprised to see San Diego checking in so high. Unless you are decently rich to be able to enjoy to the fullest Chicago has to offer, it ain't no fun! They gouge you to death with taxes and fees, etc. etc.

and here's our mayor's response...he is a bit of a jagbag, a very well connected one at that!

Small price to pay to live in a great city. The more energy/people/traffic/etc, the more stress, naturally.

I do have to agree with that. Smalltown, Nebraska is probably nowhere near as stressful as Manhattan, but does that make it a superior place to live? Personally, I don't see what makes Phoenix that much less stressful than other cities. Maybe the lack of severe weather, but thats about it. (Heat can be annoying but isnt exactly severe weather).

Stress has a lot more to do with the individual than the city. Granted I can see living in some cities such as Flint and Compton as stressful, but for the most part its on the individual. Those articles really irritate me.

Amen, NY... being a Flint native, nowhere else has ever seemed remotely stressful... except maybe for rush hour situations.. Flint seems to not have that problem so much anymore..

but yeah, we only go there on vacation to visit family, and even that's stressful. luckily, vacation usually only lasts a week or so, and we can take our bullet-proof vests off..

now, in the northwoods of wisconsin, i could use a little more stress in my life lol not Flint type of stress.. but.. SOMEthing to stir me, just a little!
