I wear myself out trying to keep my house as clean As before I moved here. lol you will have to lower your standards a little or go crazy trying to stay ahead of the dust. Quality air cleaners help a lot, I run 3 in my house, ny kid is always stuffed up or sneezeing as well, even with being extra clean and running the air cleaners.

I totally agree. Raise the white flag and try to live with it. I dust once a week but I have mostly dark furniture. So the other six days I just keep reading a plaque I have on the wall that says "Beware! This house is guarded by dust bunnies!" Oh, and I also can use the excuse that one of my cats gets very upset if she doesn't have a few of those dust bunnies to chase around the house every day. What can I say, she is not the brightest crayon in the box.
