I am trying to find someone to do radon test for a house. Don't where to call. Do you mind to recommend one based on your experience? Thank you!

That's a good question. I do not know the answer but I'm aware that there has been talk that some of the granite countertops, which look very nice, emit harmful doses of radon and can lead to lung cancer. I was very concerned since my apartment's kitchen appears to have granite. But on closer inspection, it is imitation. So I'm breathing easier.

Maybe you can google it, or look on bigyellow.com?

The inspector that I recommended in that thread you started about the inspectors, does them for $150.

All natural stone can emit radon gas, which is why it is mainly an issue in basements (like I said in the other thread), because you are surrounded by soil/stone. I also mentioned that granite countertops do as well, but it's not at harmful levels.

Most states have a DEP....Department of Environmental Protection......that licenses and certifies radon measurement companies and measurement technicians along with radon mitigation companies.....try googling your states DEP and look for their list of certified measurement companies/technicians on line.
