Hey all you Phoenicians that live in the Northwest valley!

I was driving in Surprise and just happen to be near the 303 and Waddell.

Anyhoo, I stopped at the corner of Citrus Road and Cactus Rd (no traffic), which is a new home development area that borders agricultural areas.

I looked to the South/Southeast, and I could see a both the AZ Cardinals football stadium AND the downtown skyline...

At first, it looks like you will only see green swaths of agriculture land and lots of big green trees (AZ farms always have those big green trees) but in the distance you will see Univ. of PHX stadium/downtown.

I sound a little amazed, I know; however, the distance is what gets me - I think it is at least 40 miles away...

Downtown might be 40 miles. UOP isn't...maybe 13-15 miles away. UOP is 12.5 Miles from my house in Surprise.

Default Correct

Yes, the UOP stadium is much closer, which is why the downtown skyline looks so small from Surprise...
