Rules To The "Show Us Your Best Shot" Contest

-----------------------------------------------------
RULES CHANGE (13 Nov 2011):
Title changed from "in your Home State" Contest to "Show Us Your Best Shot".

Everybody happy? Discussion continues here: Photography Contests - Overall Discussions
-----------------------------------------------------
The photo you enter in the "Show Us Your Best Shot" contest is any photograph which you took within 30 days of the date you submitted it.

Post your pictures in the appropriate thread.

Please read the appropriate DISCUSSION THREAD to be up to date before posting. You may post as many photographs in the discussion thread but the actual contest thread is limited to one photo.

To be able to stay on a monthly schedule, the last day for submitting entry photographs will be five days before the end of the month, ie, if the month ends on the 30th then photos must be submitted no later than the 25th. If the month ends on the 31st then photos must be submitted no later than the 26th. Etc...

There are 31 days in December 2013, so, entries will end on December 26th, 2013.
The poll will be opened the day after the last day for submitting entry photographs.

Only users who have been registered on City-Data over 30 days and who have at least one valid post may enter the contest or vote on the contest. (Rule added Feb 3, 2012)

One photograph per contest.

You must have been the person who took the photograph which is entered. (Rule added Apr 1, 2012)

All photographs must have been taken within 30 days of the date you submitted them.

You may not vote for yourself.

If desired you may add your ©copyright signature to your photograph when sharing over the internet.

Please add the title of your photo and any information that you want to share. We do enjoy knowing. The title is needed/placed in the Poll.

You have 90 minutes to alter/edit your post. If you need help with the title or information, just DM me Poncho_NM and I will fix it for you.

Do not use the entry thread for discussions, until after a winner has been announced. There is a separate thread to be used for discussions.

If you have an suggestions, you may DM me Poncho_NM .

Thanks and good luck!

Default Lone Coyote Passes

Lone Coyote Passes
White Sands National Monument is a lonely place and easy to get turned around. The one making these tracks knew exactly where he was going.

Default Fall Leaves in Lost Maples

You don't see much fall foliage in South Texas. During the last Ice Age the maples survived due to the right conditions in the limestone canyons. This was taken on Nov. 20th near the end foliage season.
