Hello. I was deleting a photo on my camera when somehow all the photos got deleted. Oviously pressed the wrong selection. Is there any techno tool out there to retrieve my photos or is this a done deal. Thanks in advance for your advice and tips.
you might be able to download a program called RescuePRO ot RescuePRO Deluxe from Sandisk. Deluxe comes bundled free with SanDisk Extreme IV cards - in my case an Extreme IV compact flash card. I've never used or needed to use the software. From what I gather though, you need one of the higher end SanDisk cards and the a serial number that comes with the card.
remove the card from the camera immediately...if you have taken any shots after accidentally deleting the photos...forget it...you'll never recover them.

You can lose some pictures that way, doesn't mean you'll lose all of them. When you delete something it frees that space up for other data. It 's not gone until overwritten by other data like taking a new picture. To lose all the pictures you'd have to fill the entire card up with new ones. I've even made partial recoveries where half the file was overwritten, as long as the header is intact you can do that.

The same is true for hard drives, floppy disks, USB drives, etc.
I just got back in for the evening. Thanks for all the great posts. BTW, I was using a Sony Cyber-Shot with the memory stick which is smaller than the standard SD card. I don't know if this makes a difference on anything good or bad? Thanks again!

The type of memory card doesn't matter - they all store the images the same way. Try out the software suggestions listed in the posts above (many of them do have free trials you can download) and go from there.
Folks, NEVER download a program that somebody who clearly just registered here is trying to promote. It probably contains viruses or adware. I've reported this and the post before it as spam.
