Someone posted a focus stack of the moon in the Moon Thread: http://www.city-data.com/forum/24063599-post353.html. I've never had enough magnification for to shoot a stack of the moon, but I've done some macro stacks. Photoshop CS5 does a pretty good job of stacking images, just go to File > Scripts > Load Files into Stack. Once you have the result of that, go to Edit > Auto-Blend Layers. Of course, this only works if you have Photoshop.
Thanks. I do have CS5, but haven't tried focus-stacking. Sounds simple enough.
I was able to take the tripod out for a few minutes to grab this one, but there was a large Rat Snake sitting where I needed to be. I was going to break out the big gun camera and lens after this one, but he just stared at me for a while and after a few minutes he started creeping me out so I went back inside. I think he was thinking, "Damn, I could eat for a month off of this guy". LOL.
