I bought a Sony NEX 7. It is by far my favorite digital camera. However, when we go on vacation trips I only saw one other person with a NEX. Most are Nikons or Canons. I hope they are more popular on this site.

I'm one (NEX-3). And may be the only one besides you. I am thoroughly enjoying its flexibility.

I have a Sony NEX-C3. I love it. I added the Sigma 30mm f/2.8 and have also gotten "legacy" manual-focus 50mm f/1.8 lenses from Nikon, Canon and Pentax, as well as a Nikon Series E 75-150mm f/3.5. It is a joy to use. Frankly, I wonder why I still have my Nikon D5100 at this point--the Sony has the same image quality, and is smaller.

I have a friend that loves Sony. I tried out several models and I guess I just have big hands because the Sony felt too small. Not that it is not a great camera. The Canon felt right in my hand. Since then I have invested a lot in canon glass so switching is probably not going to happen. I don't get into the whole Nikon vs Canon vs Sony vs Pentax etc... All of them make quality cameras and I use the one that feels good to me.

I also own an NEX-7, and before that an NEX-5. My gf uses an NEX-5N. Works out great because we can share lenses. My bulky Canon DSLR stays at home, the NEX is so much more convenient for street photography.
