I have a Flickr account and usually get a few views per day, but every once in a while get a huge spike in views. A couple of days ago I got 860 views in one day, which is a tremendous amount for me, then it went back down to the normal handful the next day.
I have no idea why I would have got that huge spike on that day. Anyone ever have this mysterious occurrence on their accounts? For those who get lots of views everyday this obviously would not apply.
Someone may have used your pic in a chat room somewhere, I had a photobucket pro account and one of my pics got over 25,000 views in one day on yahoo, but only that day.
Someone linked to it from somewhere;email, forum post, facebook etc. Not familiar with flickr but if you had a regular website you would be able to see where those referrals were coming from.
For example if you embedded one of your photos in this topic you'll see a surge on views for it.
