I do, I converted fully from a Nikon D7000 to Sony a7, and love it.

I use mostly legacy lenses and I have the new kit lens (FE28-70)

When you get a chance would you please share any challenges you've had with switching over. Anything you miss from the D7000 like very fast autofocus?

I actually had to get used to the new DoF with FF vs APS-C, but just some practice there was all it took. I don't think I've had any real challenges. I find the AF on the A7 (A7s and A7r would be slower) plenty quick enough, but keep in mind I rarely shoot anything moving.

I did photograph my wife on a 5k running around the course and I had no AF issues at all.

The only thing I'd say I miss is the battery life, but that's just par for the course with EVF vs OVF. It hasn't caused any issues though I just keep a spare battery now but I haven't had to use it yet. I've gotten 400-600 shots out of the stock A7 battery which is plenty enough.

The image quality is excellent and I like using the older/cheaper lenses for now with manual focus to save money over the new pretty expensive primes. I do plan on getting that new Ultrawide zoom coming out soon though (16-35 F4 Zeiss).

I really like the huge amount of dynamic range, you can recover a lot of highlights and shadows.

Here's an example of out of camera RAW vs processed (non HDR).

I think AF speed is good for most photography. The base version (a7) does have hybrid AF but I'm not sure of its effectiveness to shoot fast movement directly towards/away from the camera (panning/side movement is less demanding on AF anyway). I've used the camera only in studio setting where AF was almost instantaneous. The a7s is also said to be fast. The a7r has had conflicting suggestions (some say it is as fast, others that it is slower, but it is primarily a landscapers/high resolution photography choice).

Another key feature that can come in handy is EFCS (Electronic First Curtain Shutter). That itself helps reduce any lag (typical DSLR has a 0.6s shutter lag, with EFCS, Sony E-mount cameras which would include a7-series, have it at 0.2s). This feature is not included in a7r however (again, likely a result of high resolution sensor).

Something that will also be new to most DSLR owners moving up from APS-c to FF would be higher maximum shutter speed. The a7 series supports 1/8000s max (most DSLRs, including a FF DSLR or two) go to 1/4000s. This means, you may be able to use a faster lens in bright light for shallower DOF (without aid of ND filter) or freeze some really fast action.

I just bought an A7s and I absolutely LOVE IT. I don't mind the loss of resolution from the 12mp sensor. This thing can shoot in any lighting situation, and plays VERY nicely with leica mount glass, which is the main reason I bought it. I have a couple Voigtlander lenses as well as a Carl Zeiss biogon....beautiful images. I'll try to upload some stuff to share.

Also, although I originally didn't plan to use it with video, it autofocuses when using NEX lenses. Absolutely crazy...I had no idea. I went to Best Buy this afternoon to get a NEX lens for shooting an event this weekend, and lo and behold, it autofocuses while filming as well. So now, I think I'll be using it when we film conventions and interviews. Really excited to see how it does with documentary work too.

Best of all is it's size for carry around. A full frame sensor in this size body is so wonderful. Especially when paired to M mount lenses, which are already compact to begin with.

I'm reading mixed reviews on adapters for Canon lenses. If you have an adapter that works well please let us know. Also any gotcha's that crop up with the adapters. I have all Canon glass so having a good adapter will be a requirement to make this work.
