Sorry for being slow to respond to everyone till now. I am block captain for neighborhood watch and we had a priority meeting last night with 3 sheriffs and a newspaper reporter present besides over 20 neighbors. All the adrenaline left me exhausted and I fell asleep early and got up late.

Every guess is wrong, but some are close with something to do with food. It is made of aluminum and the part you are seeing is a part of a whole and is 1 inch across.

It’s used in baking cookies ~ you press it into the dough to indent a spot where you then place fruit fillings.
