This church was built at Friendly Cove ( Yuquot ) on the remote west coast of Vancouver Island by the Spanish in 1889...Once a thriving community it is all but abandoned now.

Yuquot (Friendly Cove), British Columbia, Canada

The Marble Palace was destroyed by fire on April 20th, 1952. A brief property description including the Ashintully Gardens can be found at this website.

Thanks for the compliments everyone and grannymontanny for your Bannack ghost town photos. I was there in back in 2001 for a few hours, a most enjoyable visit.

Not far from my house....

Mail Pouch Barn.....some may remember those....

Old gas station....the kind where when you pulled in, you ran over the bell, and someone actually came out, filled the tank, checked the oil, washed the windshield, and best of all........

The price was right!

Here are a few old family photos.

Dad and his pride and joy...taken about 1939.

Dad ( right ) and family...Taken around 1930...See the guy on the left, and see why he is holding his hair in the next photo....Not sure what the old car is...Anyone know?

The gang and my brother and I on the roof...about 1948.
