Hello
Im new here
I dont know if it the place to post my problem but anyway if no so pass it or something.
I have a digital camera, It's "Stylus 700 or 710 one OLYMPUS 7.1 megapixel".
Maybe someone have this camera ? and can help me to learn more about her, how to shot a good pictures at day, night etc..
Im not a pro but im amateur, I have photographed alot of pictures at day and night, at day im used with "SCN MODES" like portrait, at night im used night scene or night+portrait.
I had a good pictures that quited fine without "noise" (at night) and now after reseting my camera to default settings, i have tried to shot a pictures at night and they quited ugly with "noise" with tripod.
I dont remember what did i do? which settings i have did before reseting my camera.
I remember one thing that i have did a some option that existing in SETUP its called "PIXEL MAPPING" , can you explain me what is that.
can you please help me? give me a guide or something how to shot a good pictures at day night etc.
and why i have a "noisy" pictures at night now?
and i wanna ask you, when you shot a pictures.. in which resolution you shot? what do you recommend ? 1024x768? or 2000+
I need your help for "how to shot a good or best picture" because i love to photograph and i want to learn all options like ISO and more.. (ISO i know a little) by the way i have tried yesterday to shot a picture at night with 60 ISO and it was dark but without "noise".
sorry about the "digging" and sorry about my english.
I hope for answers etc..
Thanks, Michael

Drago I have an older Olympus Stylus 3.2mp camera, I recently purchased an Olympus E-510 DSLR. Anyway the print in the manuals that come with the cameras is way too small for me to read (aging eyesight!) so I downloaded the manuals from the same site where I found the links I posted for you. I hope they help.

I got a booklet of this information, basic and advanced.
I know this so so..
My problem is that my pictures getting "noisy" at night, im using "scn modes - night scene", with "scn mode" i cant change the iso and etc..
if im shoting in a normal mode that i can change the iso and etc.. my picture quited dark and without "noise". i tried change the exposure too, it was still dark.
any help ?
and one more thing, which resolution are you using? or what is the best resolution to shot a pictures?
if you want i can show you a picture that i shot in a daylight that quite fine.
Thanks,
Michael

I don't know your camera drago so I can't advise you about shooting night photography, heck I haven't done much night stuff myself! Nor can I advise you how to reduce the noise. As far as resolution goes it depends on what you want to do with your images, if you plan on printing them then the higher the resolution the better. Sorry I can't help you more.
