I'm going to be in the DC area soon, and was wondering if anyone could give some tips for some great sunrise/sunset spots for photos? I'm looking to get a lot of the city in one view (panoramic if you may), does anyone have any specific ideas?
The Jefferson Memorial over the Tidal Basin at sunset and twilight. Particularly if there are some clouds, you could get some interesting purple, pink, and orange hues in your photo.
The Lincoln Memorial at sunrise--you will be shooting into the sun, but if there are people around, you might capture some interesting silhouettes.
These may be more limited views than what you're after but perhaps it's a start?
