That's great! But just so you know, the latest ACR has significant improvements over past ACRs. There are times I don't even need to open Photoshop, I can do all my editing right in ACR and it's so much quicker to batch process. It would certainly be worth the money to buy the latest Elements - yeah, it's $80 instead of $30 but it's not like it's anywhere near as expensive as Photoshop CS4.

i use elements 8.0 and have no desire to get cs4... i do like nikon capture nx2 the best for editing but its a raw editor and not a pixel editor like cs4 and elements so you cant do the graphic manipulations.

nx2 is actually written by nik software and uses the viveza color point system. noooooo layers or masks needed.

I think I'll be happy enough w/Elements 3.0. After all, it is an upgrade from what I have. The $50 can be used towards gas to take a couple drives for shooting

It's odd that the raw file is a plugin for Adobe but my Paint Shop Pro handled it without it being a plugin. All I had to do was check the box next to the file ext version on the list of files accepted and it opened mine with no problems. And PSP runs the same price as Adobe Elements, but is MUCH more powerful than Elements.
