Hey guys, I just finished building my personal website and would love to get some feedback. I think a lot of the photos on the site still need to be retouched a bit, but I wanted to focus on the layout and make sure everything works properly.

http://www.danekhy.com

I'd like to know what works and what doesn't work, what pictures should be removed, etc. If something sucks, please tell me I'd love to hear your honest opinions.

Thanks!

Congrats on the new site ! I did notice there was no comment section, would be great to have a place on the site where we could leave comments or just say "Hey Dane, love your work!" you know what I mean. The layout of the site is really cool and it flows well. Look forward to seeing it when it is loaded with your work !

I like your site very much. I think you did a great job. It's eclectic and conveys a spirit that flows throughout the whole thing.

Thanks so much. Did you guys notice that there was a "next" page at the very bottom?

You should definitely look into doing some freelance photojournalism, if you haven't already. The mood in your work, especially when capturing people, has a great quality to it that makes one interested in the subject of the photo. Good job.

I did, but I can only speak for myself. I also agree with what Peyton said about you doing freelance photojournalism.

Very nice, it looks like a blog site. If i may, you can do an archive for easier access to your photos. May be have a a drop-down menu and sort it by date, subject, etc, it will give your site some type of navigation. Keep up the good work!!

I agree. Your site is blog format, not a professional photographer's website. What specifically is your goal for the site?

Initially, I wanted to set up a blog, but I couldn't figure out why I don't have any permissions/access in plesk/cpanel to install wordpress (my friend has unlimited hosting so he purchased me a domain name).

Anyways, I decided to create a site that felt like a blog of my personal favorite photos. In my 'about' page, it briefly describes my journey back into photography. I know this wasn't the most efficient way of creating a site, but it was simple enough for me to create a work flow around.
