I'm curious to find out which neighborhoods got how many trick-or-treaters, since in my mind the more trick-or-treaters a neighborhood has, the more kid-friendly it is. Could be another interesting statistic to add to the mix when picking a neighborhood.

If everyone could play along, please post your neighborhood and how many trick-or-treaters you got this Halloween. I'll start:

Southside Slopes: 0

as detailed in another thread, we never get a ton on the wilkinsburg/edgewood border, but this year we only got 1 set of 3. the last 2 years we probably got more like 20-25 total each year though.

Regent Square (Wilkinsburg part): around 120 (based on candy usage--way too many to try to count).

Beechview: a frickin' ton, at least 120, at which point we ran out of candy -- at 7! I feel like such an awful community member having to turn off my porch light early, but we were totally caught unawares. I bought 30% more candy than last year, when we also ran out early (but only at 7:20). I am thrilled for the community's sake that the number of TnTers seems to be growing exponentially in this area.

(Oh, and there was exactly one teenager without a costume last night, which as best I remember was more like half of the traffic we used to get 5 years ago. So that's good, too. I don't begrudge teenagers a bag full of candy, but dude, at least cut holes in a paper bag or something...)

My little neighborhood in O'Hara got about 60 kids. I think it was too cold for the young kids. Friends in Aspinwall got 200.

I pulled a scrooge last night and didn't do candy, but my end of Beechview never gets that many ToTers anyway. I think last year I got less than 10.

Economy Boro: 5

As I mentioned in another thread, it's a through road with no sidewalks and 35mph speed, and there are nearby roads with slower speed, sidewalks and probably houses a little closer to the street. We suspect those houses get a lot more kids as there are plenty living in the area. The high point for us was about a dozen or so a few years back. Average is somewhere in the high single digits.
