My concern is getting two off street spots for our vehicles.

If you're in Manchester during a Steeler game or a big concert and you park on the street, all of a sudden there are no open spots.

Well we have two higher end vehicles that I am over protective of. I've seen how people park and nonchalantly back in to other vehicles like it's not big deal.

ah. yeah, in cities, bumpers often get used. I suppose you really need new construction then. I don't see steelers' parking problems as that big a deal. it's not that many days a year. OTOH, I like the dense spacing (of homes), architecture, the park, and the ability to walk to PNC as well as downtown.

That's one of the problems with neighborhoods from the horse-and-buggy era--the normal situation is not very car-friendly, and that is in part for some of the same reasons these neighborhoods can be appealing. Personally, I'd be happy to accept that tradeoff and just sacrifice on the car end (frankly, I'm too cheap to spend very much on cars under any circumstances). But if you want to have it both ways you basically have to look to become the exception to the rule.

That's exactly what we are loving to. Well, we are going to seriously start looking in the spring. Until then, we are going to continue to explore and enjoy our time there.

I'm not sure about Manchester but where we live in Allegheny West, it's all permit parking. If a Steeler's fan tries to park during a game, he gets a $120 ticket for his trouble. And we never have a problem finding a spot on the street usually in front of the house. Plus a lot of the houses have garages or carports facing the alleyways behind the houses.
