I thought I'd start my research here. A family member needs rotator cuff surgery. Physical therapy didn't do the trick.

We hated the orthopedic surgeon we consulted a few months ago.

I'm hoping Pittsburgh has a few stellar orthopedic surgeons who specialize in rotator cuff surgery.

If you've had a good experience or know someone who has had a good experience, please share the surgeon's name if the outcome was favorable.

Alternately, I'd appreciate warnings about who to avoid if anyone has had negative experiences.

I'm taking names and making a list to do further research.

Looking forward to your responses!

Thanks!

I have not had surgery, though that may come in time, but I go to Dr. Michael Seel for knee problems. He used to be at West Penn, but you can find him at Allegheny General: Dr. Michael J. Seel, MD - Orthopedic Surgery - Pittsburgh, PA
