Can anyone provide a site that would have demographics for those born from 1946 to 1964, the Boomer generation. Looking for single and couple demographics for income over 25K.

Thanks for your help.

Technically, 1963 is the end date of the baby boom. 1964 is the first year of what we have come to call "Generation X."

1946-1963 = Baby Boomers
1964-1981 = Generation X
1982-1999 = Millenials/Generation Y

Here's a book someone recommended to me: Amazon.com: Generations: The History of America's Future, 1584 to 2069 (9780688119126): Neil Howe, William Strauss: Books

I'm not really sure where you find the demographics data you're looking for, though.

You will be hard pressed to find that data already compiled for the greater metro area, but you can compile the data for yourself by pulling the data for individual municipalities in the metro area via the census bureau.

You can use the American Community Survey (conducted by the Census) to do this:

United States - Data Sets - American FactFinder

Select Detailed Tables, then select Metropolitan Statistical Area as your geographic type, then select Pittsburgh, PA as your metro, then Add, and then Next. You'll then have to figure out what table(s) you want, but you can search by subject or keyword. Add whatever tables looking promising, then hit Show Result.
