Curious if anyone knows a park that keeps lights on their hockey rinks/basketball courts late or 24 hours? Particularly interested in roller hockey and maybe even finding some pick up games or a league to join but if nothing else a place to play later in the evening.

thanks all.

Default Tiny bit of help...

We're in the South Hills. My 18 YO son finds late night pick up games in South Park and in Greentree (close to the Parkway Center).

I know that the Robinson YMCA and Bridgeville Rollerplex(?) have leagues.

It's a start...??

I'm not sure if this is what you are talking about, but when you are headed out 279 North, there is a rink that's always lit up late on the right side of the road, I think between the Bellvue and Mt Nebo Road exits.

I have links maps.live.com for both ice and roller hockey. There are pushpins in all the locations I know of. You can easily map to a pushpin.

I'm not sure where you live or I could give you some info about roller hockey leagues and lights for pickup games etc...

Default roller hockey games

my friends and i have pick up roller games every week, weather permitting, at 6:30 pm til 11 pm. I commute to brady's run outdoor roller rink, usually with 1 to 2 other people in the car with me. I know it's a drive, but i don't really know of anywhere else to play around here. either way, if you are interested, let me know. We play with some contact (no hard checks, but you'll definitely leave with some bumps and bruises), so i would wear at least elbow and shin/knee pads if i were you. There are usually anywhere between 7 (2 teams of 3 players and one goalie) people and 15 people playing.

The rink VWscottie is talking about is Dek-Star, on Mt. Nebo Road off the Camp Horne exit:

Dek-Star Hockey

I don't know anything at all about them, but I've seen it lit pretty late at night.
