Great chart. I think we have room to bump that up a bit. Most of the rest of the world doesn't have our problem with such huge racial divides. Most countries are more homogeneous. Therefore, we are going to have WAY more crime. Look at all the different kinds of gangs in LA for example. All this being said, as cool as your chart is, we can't really be compared to most places on earth.

if section 8 people didnt trash the projects in the first place us as the taxpayers would not have to build them a new ghetto every 10 years. how about give the people that work and deserve to have somthing a break once in a while instead of dumping 160 million into the ghetto.

Learning from other countries is unAmerican!

By the way, people with Section 8 vouchers have to pay 30% of their income for rent, and many recipients are working poor.

We could emulate Saudi Arabia's crime & punishment system; their crime rate is extremely low.

Lots of developed countries get equivalent or better crime rates, particularly when you consider Saudi Arabia may be underreporting crime in its official statistics due to extrajudicial resolution processes.

Housing Choice Voucher Program Section 8

Quote:
The housing voucher family must pay 30% of its monthly adjusted gross income for rent and utilities, and if the unit rent is greater than the payment standard the family is required to pay the additional amount. . . . The PHA calculates the maximum amount of housing assistance allowable. The maximum housing assistance is generally the lesser of the payment standard minus 30% of the family's monthly adjusted income or the gross rent for the unit minus 30% of monthly adjusted income.

Yeah Iraq was really low crime before we occupied it. Seems we could learn a few things from other countries, but like someone said, that would be unAmerican.
