What happened to Miles was absolutely police brutality, no doubt about it. He needs compensated generously for this injustice. I just think that black people are misunderstanding that police are no longer singling out just blacks in gross mistreatment. I can provide tons of articles and examples of police mistreating (and even in some cases killing) people of all races, colors, and creeds. We're all in this together, and the idea of "they're just targeting my people" only separates us further and away from the real issue at hand.
Actually there were a couple of cases some time ago were a young white guy from mckees rocks sued a won

The police hierarchy determined, based on the information they had, that the police officers involved didn't do anything that warranted being fired or even suspended from their jobs.

I'd like to know what that information is, and it had better exist if the hierarchy wants to keep their jobs.

As a city taxpayer, if the police aren't being severely reprimanded for acts that cost the taxpayers a lot of money, this just isn't very acceptable.

The only way to have this conclude got to be with an actual civil trial with actual testimony and evidence, including testimony by the police brass. And if, as you opine, that the police officers were totally out of order- I would hope that the mayor would do some firings of police chiefs and commanders.

But I think its more likely that the insurance company and the city and Mr. Miles' attorneys will agree to a settlement sometime before next June, the taxpayers will pay, and everyone will go home.

Unless I am mistaken, I thought Jordan Miles already turned the city down.

You learn something new everyday. If you knew any black people to begin with, you would have already knew.

Thats a good thing. Good black parents teach thier children how not to be killed by police. How shocking!

I saw all of your responses...and...go figure, I still think your perception is completely warped. I can't even respect your responses, I'm sorry, there just so...well, racist it isn't even funny. You pull the race card and everything is "because I'm black" ... "it's different for me because I'm black" ... I feel sorry for the society you think you live in.

My "so called" black friends...ha, wow, you are one hell of a pill. Your responses come off as if African Americans and Caucasians can't and shouldn't interact in society. Hello, news flash, two couples that I'm extremely close with are INTERRACIAL COUPLES! Oh my...the shock and horror... Your views really do upset me, they're disturbing. If everyone shared your views, we would still be rather far, far away from any glimpse of equality.

From my understanding it was $180,000 and he (his lawyers) turned it down

wpipkins racist! come on now. I have been called alot of things and racist is not one of them. I work with and have lots of white friends. None of them will call me racist. However they will tell you that I speak of the truth no matter how painfull it is. Please show me where I made a racist comment? Because I said the word white and people in the same sentence? I interact with white people on a daily basis. I also interact with Indian, Chinese, Philipino, Jewish, and Arabic do to the nature of my business. Racist? Maybe you meant realist.

Again, please show me one racist comment that I made toward anyone. That is not who I am.

Sorry.

Well balls, I'll just have to tell my black friends that I don't really know them just because our levels of melanin differ.

Now let me mark this post down so I can tell my future children how to not be murdered by authority figures after I read them a bed time story.
