I agree that Falconhurst and Crofton have tons of kids but not every part of each neighborhood does. Some stretches are filled with empty nesters others are filled with kids. Really, it is hit or miss.

New housing developments with reasonable prices and in good school districts are almost always overflowing with kids.

I would look at Upper St Clair (USC) again. Not sure if Mt Lebanon is going to have the type of suburbia you are wanting. I live in Peters Township (PT), which borders USC - both areas have similarities including great schools, family-oriented, tons of sports opportunities and extracurricular activities. In USC and PT, it's suburbia at it's best. In my neighborhood alone, on a nice day, little groups of kids are in someone's yard playing for hours. Good luck on your search.
